Frequently asked questions

WAV or MP3?
WAV keeps the sound exactly as decoded, which is what editing software, some transcription services and audio analysis want. It is about ten times the size of an MP3; for listening or sending, MP4 to MP3 is the better choice.
Does it lose quality?
No more than the video’s own sound already has: the sound is decoded and written without compression.
Is the video uploaded?
No. The sound is extracted in your browser, even for videos up to 150 MB on the free plan.
