Nothing leaves your device

This tool runs entirely in your browser. What you type, play or record here stays on your device: nothing is uploaded or saved on a server.

How it works

  1. Press Play and tap the squares to switch steps on and off — or start from a pattern such as rock, house, boom bap or reggaeton.
  2. Set the tempo (60–200 BPM) and swing, accent steps, and balance the drums in the mixer; use 2 bars for fills.
  3. Download 1 to 8 bars as a WAV that loops seamlessly, or copy a link to share the beat.

Frequently asked questions

How does the drum machine work?
Each row is a drum and each column a sixteenth note; lit squares play. Sixteen steps make one bar of 4/4. The accent row makes every drum on that step louder, like on classic analog machines.
What does swing do?
It delays every second sixteenth note: at about 33 % the groove becomes a triplet shuffle, at 60 % a heavy lope. Use it for hip-hop, funk and house.
Can I use the beat in my music?
Yes — the sounds are synthesised in your browser, not sampled, so the WAV you download is yours to use. It is exactly the number of bars you choose, so it loops cleanly in any audio editor.
Is my pattern saved?
The last pattern is kept in this browser, and “Copy link” puts the whole pattern in a link you can send or bookmark.
Is anything uploaded?
No. The drums are made and played in your browser.
