Frequently asked questions
- How much deeper does it make the voice?
- Five semitones — a clear drop, like a low speaking voice — with a slight boost of the low frequencies. For an exact number of semitones, use the pitch shifter.
- Does it slow the recording down?
- No. The pitch goes down and the speed and length stay the same.
- Will it hide who is speaking?
- Only partly: the voice is lower but keeps its character. For a stronger disguise try the robot or telephone effect on the voice changer.
- Which files work?
- MP3, M4A, WAV, OGG, FLAC, WebM and other common audio files, several at once.
- Is my recording uploaded?
- No. The voice is changed on your device, in the browser; the file never leaves it.
