Example
Example: a 3½-minute podcast episode as a 1920 × 1080 MP4 with its cover
episode-12.mp3 lasts 3 minutes 30 seconds and comes with square cover art. Settings: Waveform, My picture (blurred behind it), Landscape 1920 × 1080, White, and the title “Episode 12: Growing tomatoes on a balcony”.
- The cover is drawn sharp at 554 × 554 px, centred at the top, over a blurred copy of itself that fills the frame.
- Under it, a band 1790 px wide carries the moving waveform; the title is set in 52 px type in a band at the bottom.
- The video runs at 30 frames a second, 6,300 frames for 3 min 30 s. The MP3 sound is encoded as AAC at 192 kbps.
| Size | Cover | Moving band |
|---|---|---|
| Landscape 1920 × 1080 | 554 × 554 px, top centre | 1790 × 216 px |
| Square 1080 × 1080 | 554 × 554 px, top centre | 950 × 216 px |
| Vertical 1080 × 1920 | 950 × 950 px | 950 × 324 px |
episode-12.mp4: the same 3:30 of sound with the cover, the moving waveform and the title, ready to upload wherever only video is accepted.
How it works
- Add a sound file — MP3, M4A, WAV, OGG… — and, if you like, a cover picture (JPG, PNG or WebP). Several sound files make one video each.
- Choose the moving visual, the background, the size — landscape, square or vertical for short-video apps — and type a title.
- Press Make video and download the MP4: a 3-minute song takes about 20 seconds on a recent computer.
Frequently asked questions
- Why turn audio into a video?
- Many sites and apps take only video, not sound files. As an MP4 with a picture your song, podcast episode or voice memo can be posted, shared or uploaded anywhere a video goes.
- Is the sound quality kept?
- An M4A with AAC sound goes in untouched; other formats are encoded as AAC at 192 kbps, which is transparent for most listening.
- What if I add no picture?
- The video uses a colour gradient — or a plain dark or light background — with the waveform larger in the middle. With “None” the picture stays still, which makes a very small file.
- Is there a length limit?
- Up to 20 minutes per video, because it is all made in your browser’s memory. Every video made in one go gets the same title.
- Which size should I choose?
- Landscape 1920 × 1080 for video sites and computer screens, Square 1080 × 1080 for feeds that show square posts, Vertical 1080 × 1920 for short-video apps and stories. The vertical size draws the cover largest, 950 px across.
- What frame rate and format is the video?
- An MP4 with H.264 video and AAC sound: 30 frames a second while the waveform, bars or circle move, and 5 a second with None, since a still picture needs no more.
- Are my files uploaded?
- No. The video is drawn and encoded in your browser; the sound and picture never leave your device.
